What better way to ring in the new year than with a fun filled karaoke party. If you would like to impress your friends and family this year with a New Year's party then you should think about a karaoke party. There are not many people who could resist a bit of karaoke, I mean, who does not want to get up in front of a bunch of people and belt out a song loud and off key. First thing you will want to do when planning your ultimate karaoke party is get an estimate of how many people will be attending. What you could do for invitations is send a blank CD that is decorated to fit the theme. It could have all of the contact information. Just make sure you have your guests RSVP so that way you know how much food and drink you will need to feed your guests.

The type of food you will want to prepare should be simple. Just stick with basic finger foods like open face sandwiches, crisps, meat and veggie trays, and stuff like that. A lot of people are going to be walking up to the stage area to sing any way. If you have to deal with utensils and the mess that goes with it, it'll be too much work.
